What careers do graduates from the chemistry department pursue? |
The Department of Chemistry is at the forefront of cutting-edge and interdisciplinary research development and all our graduates receive quality training at an internationally competitive level. With the well-rounded curriculum design, our graduates are well equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to work in different areas, including the commercial, industrial and education sectors. Some become research scientists; some take up jobs related to chemical analysis, teaching and technical marketing; some are even engaged in the operation of an industrial plant.
Many graduates make use of their chemical knowledge in their positions, whereas others use their training in rigorous thinking and tackling difficult intellectual problems to branch out into other areas, such as the business and government sectors.
