Electrochemistry takes place at an interface and involves processes
at multiple phases and length scales, demanding integration of knowledge and
techniques of multi-disciplines. lt is fundamentally challenging and increasingly
more important in broad applications related to energy and the environment.
Structuring composite materials at multiple-length scales will optimise the
interfacial phenomena that take place in these applications which include fuel
cells, batteries, capacitors, ozone generation, green oxidation, waste degradation,
and sensing. Modeling techniques such as Molecular
Simulation will be needed to complement interpretation and understanding
of the experimental investigations.
